Meet courtney

Courtney Wafzig is an artist, designer, and self-proclaimed color enthusiast living in Louisville, KY, with her husband, four children, and two dogs. She studied Fine Arts with a concentration in Interior Architecture at the University of Louisville.

Her husband partnered with Courtney to tackle their sunroom, which has been her art room, storage, and junk room. Their sunroom spanned the entire length of the house, so they decided to shorten the room to define the space. Please take a look at their before shots; you won't believe this transformation!

The Design Plan

Courtney’s aesthetic is eclectic and colorful. She loves to mix florals, chinoiserie, and art. “I believe every home should have houseplants, be cheerful, and comfortable, says Courtney. Her must-have for the new sunroom was a living area and dining area.

Favorite part of the room

“The back wall with wallpaper, the Hollywood Regency Palm Mirror and carved Asian panels, says Courtney.

Lighting Selection

Courtney went with the Broche English bronze wall sconces. “These sconces had a leaf motif. It fit in my garden-themed sunroom design perfectly. I loved that it had white shade to cast a soft light in the evening.”

Light Fixture: Broche Two-Light English Bronze Sconce

My home is colorful, eclectic, and traditional. I think it has a collected and eclectic feeling while still having elements of a traditional style. I like to mix my collection of classic blue and white porcelain with abstract art. I love to use vintage kilim pillows for a more global look, along with buffalo check. I love a bold, brightly painted light fixture, but I also love an ivory wall.
