PRETTY IN PINK
“I designed this home office to be a calm and sophisticated space using a soft pink grasscloth wallpaper, lucite, and brass hardware, and soft animal print carpet. We custom-designed the storage cabinets inside the attic walls to maximize the floor area and conceal the items for a clean look. The Calypso Chandelier was the perfect selection as it provided the downlight needed for the layout table and the elegance of the crystal teardrops that takes your breath away when you enter the office through the French glass doors, says Summer Tubridy of Onyx Interiors.

“When designing a home office, it's important to define the purpose of the space early on. For example, the setup for a high-functioning office will be much different from a multi-purpose, off-kitchen study nook or a design-focused office space. The homeowners of our Traditional Edina Elegance project wanted an office space that was both stylish and functional. The light fixture and ceiling design coupled with the popular navy built-ins continue to inspire our clients when designing their future home offices,” says Rebecca Remnick of City Homes.

A SHIPLAP ACCENT WALL
Shiplap accent walls are easy to install and add a cozy, modern farmhouse vibe to a room. The black paint on the shiplap contrasts the rest of the walls, becoming a focal point to the space and making the artwork and greenery pop.
